Jerry Carter

Since he formed Carters in 1996, the practice has gone from strength to strength and on 01 February 2007 became Carters Limited.

Jerry obtained an Honours Degree in 1981 from the University of Wales where he obtained a University of Wales Golfing Blue in 1979. He qualified in 1984 after being articled at Kelly Luft Stanley & Ashton.

Jerry specialises in contentious and non-contentious commercial work, compliance, general litigation and liquor licensing. His exceptionally wide and detailed commercial experience often proves invaluable when presented with complicated problems.

He is a founder member of the recently formed Licensing Forum in the Isle of Man and is a member of the Isle of Man Law Society Council and a former Chairman of the Small Practices Association. He has acted as Deputy Chairman of the Interception of Communications Tribunal and has become involved as a director and shareholder of a musical project which to date has been responsible for the executive production of the critically acclaimed and highly regarded Martin Taylor Fraternity DVD and CD.

Jerry is married to Catriona, is a keen golfer and the former Captain of Castletown Golf Club. Jerry is also a dedicated Taekwondo student and hopes to take his black belt examination this summer at the ripe old age of 48.
